On the occasion of the Camargue Festival, the Marais du Vigueirat offers a special program at the beginning of June. By boat on the Rhone, to celebrate the Rendez-vous at the garden or the discovery of the bats, the proposals are adaptable.

By boat from Port Saint Louis du Rhône to the Marais du Vigueirat

By small boats of “Rhône Assistance”, it is possible to go up from the anti-salt dam the Canal d’Arles to Bouc. A naturalist guide accompanies you, destination: the National Nature Reserve of the Marshes of Vigueirat. Owned by the Conservatory of the Littoral, this protected area allows you to discover the richness of the landscapes, fauna and flora of the Camargue.

Access to several observatories by a short walk and bird watching with a telescope.

Visit of the site, bring your picnic.
Departure et 9am – lasts 6h30 – Price 30€ for adults, and half-price for 6 to 15 years old.

The Rendez-vous at the garden

On the occasion of this national day, we will celebrate the first anniversary of the ethnobotanical garden of the Vigueirat Marshes. At 10am guided tours and workshops on the theme of botany and the use of plants in the Camargue and Crau. Followed at 15:30 by a concert of the Conservatory of Music of the Country of Arles and of artistic performances with the Yellow Citron, in the framework of the Envies Rhônements, season Art in Landscape.

Free day, opening at 10 am.

Enter the world of bats

At dusk, discover our “Rhinos”  these amazing mammals able to fly with their hands! At the Marais du Vigueirat, a bats’ house is devoted to them: you can, with the guide accompanying you, discover this museographic space realized within the framework of the European program Life + CHIROMED. A field trip to try to observe them is also planned.
